In response to requests for shorter tours we’ve created a condensed version of our Original Chocolate Ecstasy Tour. We think you’ll like it.

It starts at 11am with a delicious hot chocolate in one of the best locations in London. Your Chocolate Ecstasy guide will then take you on an indulgent walking tour to some of the finest traditional English chocolatiers (and at least one other interesting chocolate shop as well!).

Tours include an abundance of luxury Chocolate sampling, fascinating chocoholic chats, your lavish hot Chocolate beginning and special prices on the ultimate Chocolate luxuries!

Thorntons Head chocolatier Keith Hurdman at Reading store

Thorntons chocolatiers will also be appearing in a number of stores across the country for the whole week, giving chocolate demonstrations, making chocolate sculptures and creating fresh chocolates to hand out to its customers - all in celebration of National Chocolate Week. Head chocolatier Keith Hurdman will be at the Reading store from 1pm until 5pm.

All week Thorntons will be sampling delicious chocolates from its new Continental Paris Collection in store, the latest addition to Thorntons famous Continental range. The Paris Collection is a selection of milk chocolates inspired by French gastronomy and gives a flavour of the city and its style.

Raw Chocolate Desserts & Cakes Workshop

Time: 11.30am-3.30pm

Join Liz Bygrave of Sweet Sensations on this workshop that is designed to show you how to make a range of delicious chocolate recipes – Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Flan, Tiramisu and Chewy Chocolate Almond Cake, all completely free from any sugar, dairy or wheat.

We will be using ‘raw chocolate’ (also known as ‘raw cacao’) and natural sweeteners, and alternatives to dairy such as coconut oil and nuts. All the ingredients are as natural and unprocessed as possible and there is no cooking involved in the preparation of the recipes.

This workshop is suitable for beginner and experienced cooks alike. A light lunch will be included.

Pre-booking is essential. Cost £100.00. (The workshop is almost fully booked so it is recommended that you book soon to avoid disappointment.)

Prudence Emma Staite at Fortnum & Masons

During chocolate week renowned chocolate artist Prudence Emma Staite will be performing in Fortnum and Mason from 12.30 to 5pm in the demo kitchen on first floor. She will be making making chocolate skulls, among other things, and people can play chocolate jenga and chocolate draughts/chess.
